Motorists can expect delays to continue through Friday Oct. 9 as the Interstate 35W-Western Center Boulevard intersection in Fort Worth is reconstructed. Motorists should seek alternate routes, according to a city news release.

Work began at 9 p.m. Thursday Oct. 1 and will continue through 6 a.m. Thursday Oct. 8, weather permitting.

Crews are reconstructing intersections at I-35W and are moving traffic to outside lanes to accommodate the next phase of construction on the inside lanes. Eastbound and westbound Western Center will be reduced to one lane approaching the I-35W frontage roads.

Frontage road traffic approaching Western Center will be reduced to one lane, detoured to turn right onto Western Center to either Riverside Drive (east side of I-35W) or Old Denton Road (west side).
