Meeting on Fort Worth-Dallas rail set for Tuesday

A public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18 for the public to learn more about high-speed passenger rail service between Fort Worth and Dallas. Attendees can share any topics of interest that should be considered in the project’s environmental impact statement.

The Fort Worth meeting will be 4:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Intermodal Transportation Center, 1001 Jones St. A presentation begins at 6 p.m.

The Texas Department of Transportation and the Federal Railroad Administration are studying a proposed high-speed passenger rail service — called the DFW Core Express — between the two cities. The project will consider potential track alignments, station locations and other factors.
