The ongoing closures affecting Fort Worth freeways continue tonight (Friday, July 31) starting at 9 p.m. and continuing through 10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 1):
· The direct connectors from eastbound and westbound I-30 from southbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Rosedale Street.
· All lanes of eastbound IH 820 at the I-35W/IH 820 interchange will be closed. Traffic will be redirected along the frontage road to Meacham Boulevard.
· The direct connectors from northbound and southbound I-35W to eastbound IH 820 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Meacham Boulevard.
Construction along the freeway is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project, which includes a section ranked eighth among the state’s most congested roadways.
The 35W project includes the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes and will be complete in 2018.
