Ongoing construction has prompted more Interstate 35W closures near downtown Fort Worth. They are:
9 p.m. Friday Nov. 13 through 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 14:
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from eastbound Loop 820 to northbound I-35W.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from northbound I-35W to westbound Loop 820.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from southbound I-35W to eastbound Loop 820.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from southbound Texas 121 to southbound I-35W.
· There will be a closure of the two right lanes of northbound I-35W at Spur 280.
9 p.m. Saturday Nov. 14 through 10 a.m. Sunday Nov. 15, 9 p.m.:
· There will be a closure of all lanes of westbound Loop 820 west of Riverside Drive.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from northbound I-35W to westbound Loop 820.
· There will be a closure of all lanes of eastbound Loop 820 at the I-35W/Loop 820 interchange.
· There will be rolling full freeway closures on northbound and southbound I-35W from Pharr Street to Northside Drive/Yucca Avenue.
· There will be a closure of the two right lanes of northbound I-35W at Spur 280.
9 p.m. Sunday Nov. 15 through 5 a.m. Monday Nov.16, 9 p.m.:
· There will be a closure of all lanes of westbound Loop 820 west of Riverside Drive.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from northbound I-35W to westbound Loop 820.
· There will be a closure of the on-ramp to westbound Belknap Street from the frontage road.
· There will be a closure of all lanes of southbound Texas 121 at I-35W.
· There will be a closure of the direct connector from southbound Texas 121 to southbound I-35W.
The work is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project. The project includes a section ranked sixth on the state’s most congested roadway list along 6.5 miles of I-35W from north of I-30 to north of Loop 820, including the I-35W/I-820 interchange in Fort Worth. The project includes the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes.
