Road construction has prompted more road closures from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 1 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 2:
· All lanes of eastbound Loop 820 at the Interstate 35W/Loop 820 interchange will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Meacham Boulevard.
· The direct connectors from northbound and southbound I-35W to eastbound Loop 820 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Meacham Boulevard.
· All lanes of northbound I-35W just north of Meacham Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Denton Highway 377.
· The direct connectors from northbound I-35W to eastbound and westbound Loop 820 will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Denton Highway 377.
· The direct connector from southbound Texas 121 to southbound I-35W will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Carver Avenue.
The construction is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project. It includes a section ranked sixth among the state’s most congested roadway list along 6.5 miles of I-35W from north of Interstate 30 to north of Loop 820 including the I-35W/Loop 820 interchange in Fort Worth. The project includes the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes.
