 Fort Worth motorists can expect yet more Interstate 35W ramp closures to take effect this week:

Southbound I-35W Exit to Papurt Drive: Wednesday Dec. 9

·         The southbound I-35W exit to Papurt Drive will be closed for an extended period.

·         Traffic will be redirected to the next exit at 28th Street.

28th Street on-ramp to northbound I-35W: Thursday Dec. 10

·         The entrance to northbound I-35W from 28th Street will be closed for an extended period.

·         Traffic will be redirected to the next entrance at Berner Street. 

The closures are part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project, which includes roadway ranked sixth among the state’s most congested roadway list along 6.5 miles of I-35W from north of Interstate 30 to north of Loop 820 including the I-35W/820 interchange in Fort Worth. The project includes the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes.
