Freeway construction is forcing overnight closures at Interstate 35W and Loop 820 from 9 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 9 through 5 a.m. Thursday Sept. 10. Motorists can expect:
· All lanes of eastbound IH 820 at the I-35W/Loop 820 interchange will be closed. Traffic will be redirected to Meacham Boulevard.
· There will be a closure of the direct connectors from northbound and southbound I-35W to eastbound Loop 820. Traffic will be redirected to Meacham Boulevard.
· There will be rolling full freeway closures on northbound I-35W at Northern Cross Boulevard.
Construction along the freeway is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project, which includes a section ranked eighth among the state’s most congested roadways.
The 35W project includes the reconstruction of main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes and will be complete in 2018.
