Fort Worth’s Transportation & Public Works Department added two members to its leadership team. They join the staff in January.
Tanya Brooks will be assistant director overseeing the Traffic Management Division. Brooks is now assistant director responsible for the Mobility Planning Division in Dallas’ Department of Transportation.
Chad Edwards will be the mobility and innovation officer. He comes to Fort Worth with nearly 20 years of experience in transportation planning. Most recently, Edwards was assistant vice president of capital planning at Dallas Area Rapid Transit, where he had oversight of several areas, including corridor development, feasibility assessments, transit system planning and travel demand modeling. Edwards is a member of the American Planning Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography at Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Cindy Hames has been named president of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail Inc. The previous president, Randal L. Mays, served for 19 years before announcing his retirement earlier this year. Mays started his Junior Achievement career in Shreveport, then held various positions in East Texas and Austin before coming to Fort Worth.
Hames has nearly two decades of executive management experience. She was vice president of marketing at Camp Fire USA First Texas Council for seven years. Most recently, she was the senior vice president and general manager of the Fort Worth Business Press, where she managed sales and operations. Prior to that, she was the director of marketing for KCM International for 10 years.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Tarrant County has added two new board members. Adam Streebin has been added to the junior board, the Big Ambassador Board, and was elected chairman for that board. Ben Stewart Jr. has been added as a board member to the main board. Streebin is a commercial relationship manager for BBVA Compass Bank in Fort Worth. Stewart is a client adviser for JP Morgan Private Bank in Fort Worth.
