Park Place to expand in Grapevine

Park Place Dealerships said May 16 it will build a new dealership in Grapevine on eight acres at Highway 114 near Texan Trail Parkway.

Park Place will move its Jaguar dealership from Plano to Grapevine and will add the Land Rover brand to its portfolio.

The Park Place Jaguar Land Rover dealership is expected to create 1,000 jobs, including new sales and service positions, and will open in spring 2017. Currently, there are 48 employees at Jaguar Plano.

“We currently have two dealerships as well as a body shop in Grapevine,” said Ken Schnitzer, chairman of Park Place Dealerships. “Building a Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Northeast Tarrant County is a natural extension for our company as this market continues to grow.”

The new dealership will feature a two-story, LEED-certified facility. The shop will include 30 service bays and 12 make-ready bays. The showroom will accommodate up to 12 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. A nine-car service drive and 2,800-square-foot carwash will round out the service areas.

“Northeast Tarrant County is a great community to do business and with the opening of Jaguar Land Rover, Park Place will have a larger footprint to serve our growing client base,” said Gary Venner, president of Park Place Dealerships.

Park Place Jaguar Plano has been a recipient of the 2016 Pride of Jaguar Retailer Excellence five years in a row and has earned the Marque of Distinction as the No. 1 Jaguar dealership in the country three years in a row.
