HOUSTON (AP) — Southwest Airlines has opened a more than $150 million concourse at Houston’s Hobby Airport as part of new international service.
Southwest’s five-gate concourse was unveiled Thursday, with flights planned between Houston and cities in Mexico, Costa Rica and Belize.
A mariachi band was part of the celebration as Dallas-based Southwest expands its schedule from Houston.
Airport officials say a 3,000-space parking garage near the new terminal should open by Thanksgiving.
