Tarrant County man killed, woman injured in Oklahoma plane crash

A Tarrant County man has died after a single-engine plane traveling from Missouri to Fort Worth Spinks Airport crashed in Oklahoma.

Westover Hills resident Charles Fehr, 64, was killed in the crash and his wife Vicki Fehr, also 64, was injured, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Vicki Fehr was transported to the Medical Center of Plano where she was listed in critical condition.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford said the crash occurred Sunday afternoon. Lunsford said the plane was traveling from Springfield, Missouri, to Fort Worth when it crashed in a wooded area five miles southeast of Colbert, Oklahoma.

The FAA says the pilot reported losing engine power shortly before the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
