TEX Rail environmental document ready for public comment

The final environmental impact document for the proposed TEX Rail project is available for public review and comment, moving the project closer to final design and construction.

Comments will be accepted through Friday June 20, 2014.

If built, TEX Rail is expected to passengers from Fort Worth to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The document is the final evaluation of the project’s social, economic and environmental impacts.

It is available for public review at 35 Tarrant County locations, as well as online at www.TEXRail.com.  Information on the physical locations is available by contacting The T by email at info@TEXRail.com or by telephone at 817-215-8785.

Comments may be submitted by email and telephone, as well, or by mailing a letter to TEX Rail, 1600 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, 76102. Comments also may be submitted online at www.TEXRail.com.

Serving as local sponsor of the project is the Fort Worth Transporation Authority, or The T, with the Federal Transit Administration and Federal Aviatoin Administration serving as federal sponsors.

Following the public comment period, responses will be incorporated into another document which, if approved, would allow The T to move forward with the project.
