The T offers extended bus service for Stock Show

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a bus ride away as the Fort Worth Transportation Authority announces extended service to and from the event.

Extended hours are set for Saturdays and Sundays from Jan. 16 through Feb. 6.

Route 15 riders can expect bus service to begin at the Fort Worth Stockyards at 9 a.m., with buses running every 30 minutes until the last departure at 9:30 p.m.

Two additional buses will take visitors from the Stockyards to the Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Service from Will Rogers Memorial Center to the Stockyards will run every 30 minutes, beginning at 9:45 a.m. and ending with the last departure at 10:15 p.m.

As part of regular bus service, routes 2, 7 and 57 also will serve the Will Rogers area on weekdays. A round-trip bus fare is $3.50 for adults, $1.75 for reduced fare categories, and free for children younger than 5 who are accompanied by an adult. Credit cards cannot be used and bus drivers do not make change.

Riders with a Trinity Railway Express pass can receive bus service from the ITC to the Stock Show at no additional cost. The TRE runs Monday through Saturday. A one-day west zone TRE pass is $5.

The T’s Go Pass App allows users to purchase fares in advance and is available on smartphones. It is available at the app store or online at www.gopass.biz. More information is available at www.fwta.org or by calling 817-215-8600.
