Motorists coursing through Fort Worth should beginning this weekend should know that that multiple left-side ramp entrances on Interstate 35W will be accessible from the right side only.
The closures are as follows:
Saturday Sept. 10
· The ramp from northbound I-35W to the eastbound Loop 820 TEXpress lanes will shift from the left side of the road to the right.
Sunday Sept. 11
· The ramp from southbound I-35W to eastbound Loop 820 will shift from the left side of the road to the right, and will be located further north, prior to the existing location.
· The ramp from southbound I-35W to the eastbound Loop 820 TEXpress lanes will shift from the left side of the road to the right.
The work is weather-permitting, with updated closure information posted daily on Twitter (@NTExpress) and Facebook (facebook.com/northtarrantexpress).
The work is part of the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project.
The project includes a section ranked sixth on the state’s most congested roadway list. That’s along 6.5 miles of I-35W from north of Interstate 30 to north of Loop 820, including the I-35W/I-820 interchange in Fort Worth. The project includes reconstructing main lanes and the addition of TEXpress managed lanes.
