The Fort Worth Transportation Authority is holding a series of public meetings and a public hearing to seek public comments on proposed fare changes to local bus, reduced and MITS fares.

Other proposals include a new single-ride fare, an Express Route fare, eliminating the downtown free zone and a fare for downtown circulators.

The proposed changes would go into effect Aug. 13.

Public meetings are scheduled for noon and 5:30 p.m. May 30 at the Intermodal Transportation Center, 1001 Jones St. A public hearing to receive comments will be held immediately after the 5:30 public meeting that day.

It’s not necessary to attend a public meeting to offer your input. You can also submit comments in these ways by 5 p.m. May 31:
