TRE offers passage to State Fair of Texas

Fort Worth-area commuters can enjoy swift passage to the State Fair of Texas with Trinity Railway Express operating extra trains and extending Saturday and Sunday hours during the Dallas event.

Passengers riding to the fair can transfer at TRE’s Victory Station to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Green Line using TRE fare for travel to Fair Park, according to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, or The T.

The Green Line connects to two DART Green Line stations located at entrances to the fairgrounds: the Fair Park Station and the MLK Jr. Station.

TRE also will run a special Saturday schedule on Oct.10 for the annual State Fair AT&T Red River Rivalry Showdown between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners at the Cotton Bowl. On that day, TRE trains will be met at Victory Station by DART buses for a direct connection to the fair until about 6:30 p.m. when the fair’s Green Line service between Victory Station and the Fairgrounds will resume.
