Lee Graham Reporter Pedestrians, bicyclists and others will be able to find restrooms, water fountains, canoe launches and other amenities with greater ease as the Tarrant Regional Water District begins installing new signs along the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth. The sign campaign, which features numerous “You Are Here” maps and 26 street identification signs on bridges, is the second phase of a user-requested project that the district began last year. The first phase features informational signs that help recreational enthusiasts reach the trails in several locations and neighborhoods throughout the city. The first of the new signs are being installed this week in Trinity Park, with others expected to be placed in the next few weeks along the trail system that winds through much of Fort Worth. The district maintains the 27-mile Fort Worth Floodway as the local sponsor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It has built and maintains more than 40 miles of recreational trails and numerous trailheads that provide amenities such as restrooms, water fountains and parking areas.
