The Vintage Flying Museum located at Meacham Field, 505 NW 38th St. No. 33S , is holding a sale June 16-17 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to clear out the museum’s storage hangar to make room for more museum exhibits in the approximately 10,000 square foot area and to help fund the exhibits.
The sale will include items of interest to pilots, veterans, aviation collectors, military collectors, antique dealers, pickers and those interested in decorating a Man Cave, the museum said in a news release.
The hanger is filled with aircraft parts, aircraft instruments, WW II-1960s vintage aircraft radios and headsets, airline seats, and model aircraft. Other items include books and magazines, old photos, old furniture, display cases, signs, prints, lithographs, other artwork and man cave decorations.
Two actual planes for sale that will be of interest to pilots or collectors are a 1941 Culver Cadet and a 1956 Morrisey 2000C S/N 1A.
