In Arlington, Mayor Robert Cluck was reelected with 72 percent of the vote. Challenger Jerry Pikulinski received 20 percent of the vote and Chris Dobson received 8 percent of the vote. In Arlington’s District 4 council race incumbent Kathryn Wilemon handily won reelection over Danile Wood with 74 percent of the vote. In Arlington’s District 5 council race, incumbent Lana Wolff defeated Christopher McCain with 69 percent of the vote. In the race for Arlington’s District 8 race Michael Glaspie Sr. was elected with 64 percent of the vote, defeating challengers Richard Weber and Joe M. McHaney.
In Fort Worth’s District 2 race, incumbent Salvador “Sal” Espino, received 55 percent of the vote, defeating former city councilman Jim Lane. In the District 4 council race, incumbent Danny Scarth defeated challenger Paul Gardner with 57 percent of the vote. The District 5 race is headed for a runoff with incumbent Frank Moss receiving only 43 percent of the vote to challenger Gyna Bivens 47 percent of the vote. John Tunmire received 8 percent of the vote. In the District 8 election, incumbent Kelly Allen Gray, with 55 percent of the vote, held off the former councilmember in that district, Kathleen Hicks.

The race for Mayor of Watauga is headed for a runoff between Robert Leon Daniel who received 42 percent of the vote and Hector Felton Garcia who received 44 percent of the vote. Joseph Zappavigna received 14 percent of the vote.
In one of the hottest contested races May 11, for three seats on the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors, two incumbents held their seats, but a challenger, Mary Kelleher, who ran with a slate as a block with two other challengers, gained a seat on the board. Incumbent Hal S. Sparks III, lost his seat. Early in the night, the three challengers were in the lead, but fell back as votes from Saturday were counted. For a backgrounder on that race, go here.
