OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Texas Department of Transportation has scheduled two public meetings in Oklahoma on possible passenger rail routes.
The meetings will be Monday at 6 p.m. at the Metro Tech Center in Oklahoma City and Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Ardmore Train Station in Ardmore.
The Texas-Oklahoma Passenger Rail Study team has reviewed possible routes and types of service and has recommended some for further study and for public review and comment.
The study is a federally funded look at possible passenger rail service along the 850-mile Interstate 35 corridor from Oklahoma City to south Texas.
